Sphere Of Activity	Maurice Bolyer (Beaulieu) - Banjoist Maurice Bolyer was a banjo star in his native Canada while other banjo players were getting bulk of the attention in the US during the 1950s and 60s. Bolyer was an accomplished musician (piano being his first instrument). However, it was the banjo which made him a household name via appearances on Canadian radio and television as well as recordings. Known as Canada's "King of the Banjo", achieved acclaim in the US via a new recording which was nationally marketed via television in 1972. Prior to his untimely death in 1978, he headlined banjo events in the US as well. - Johnny Baier, American Banjo Museum
